Dongbang Co., Ltd., a global logistics company, announced that it will hold a unveiling ceremony to spread Zero C, a carbon dioxide collector, with guests from related organizations such as Port Corporation, POSCO, and POSCO Flow at 15:00 on February 15 (Wed).
To take the lead in solving the global climate crisis and greenhouse gas problems, Dongbang will take the first step in ESG management to practice 2050 carbon neutrality by officially purchasing and pilot installing Zero C, the first carbon dioxide collector in Korea.
The unveiling ceremony will be attended by guests from related companies such as Port Corporation, POSCO, and POSCO Flow, as well as a unveiling event and a signboard ceremony with commemorative events of CEO Park Chang-ki and CEO LowCarbon Lee Chul.
Zero C, installed at the Eastern Gwangyang Logistics Center, is about 3 meters wide, 1.6 meters long and 2.9 meters high, and can collect carbon dioxide from air, which is collected annually by 100 30-year-old pine trees in a small area of about 1.5 pyeong.Carbon dioxide collected through Zero C can be used as a filler for paper, a filler for coating, and a construction material through immediate mineral resourceization with sodium carbonate and calcium carbonate.
Zero C is based on LowCarbon’s own CCUS climate technology, and can be combined with, miniaturized, or enlarged to suit the installation site, and can reduce fine dust, carbon dioxide, and SOx-based greenhouse gases in the installed place.
Dongbang officially purchased and installed LowCarbon’s carbon dioxide collector Zero C at the Gwangyang Logistics Center in November last year, and plans to donate additional Zero C to environmental museums or public institutions through the unveiling ceremony.
The opening event of the Gwangyang Logistics Center Zero C will be held for an hour from 15:00 to 16:00 on February 15 at the Gwangyang Logistics Center in Gwangyang, Jeollanam-do.<The End>
