STX Engine signed a business agreement with LowCarbon, a small company based in Gangjin, South Jeolla Province, on the 11th to jointly develop CO2 reduction technology.
STX Engine-LowCarbon’s CO2 Reduction Technology is a CCU that absorbs and converts CO2, one of the representative greenhouse gases generated after burning fossil fuels, through post-processing. Based on this agreement, STX Engine will jointly promote actual certification, system development and certification of K-LC, an electrochemical conversion catalyst of Lowcarbon, and develop optimization solutions to apply it to various industries as well as diesel engines for ships.
STX Engine plans to develop and supply DPF, a fine dust reduction device, starting with its own SCR for ships, and plans to become the world’s best eco-friendly company by developing a system for reducing CO2 along with Lowcarbon.
