[E2 News] Korea Gas Technology Corporation (CEO Cho Yong-don) signed a business agreement with Low Carbon (CEO Lee Cheol) on the 19th to “cooperate in the construction project of hydrogen fusion and complex facilities in the Haeryong Industrial Complex in Suncheon.”

The agreement was made as a follow-up to the “business agreement for fostering excellent small and medium-sized enterprises and win-win cooperation in the eco-friendly energy sector” signed in February this year. The two companies will cooperate in building a reformed blue hydrogen production base, a large hydrogen charging station, and a hydrogen fuel cell power plant in Suncheon Haeryong Industrial Complex, which are being promoted by Low Carbon as part of the mutual cooperation system for creating a domestic hydrogen ecosystem and regional economic development and performance.

In order to establish hydrogen fusion and complex facilities, Low Carbon secures and raises funds for the construction of hydrogen fusion and complex facilities, and promotes technology development and commercialization for the construction of CCU facilities. The Korea Gas Technology Corporation supports EPC, O&M, and related tasks for hydrogen fusion and complex facilities.

Korea Gas Technology Corporation, which practices ESG management based on hydrogen business, plans to cooperate and support for the smooth construction of hydrogen fusion and complex facilities in Suncheon Haeryong Industrial Complex, which is mainly promoted by Low Carbon with eco-friendly technologies such as carbon dioxide reduction.

It is expected that Korea Gas Technology Corporation’s abundant hydrogen infrastructure construction and operation technology and know-how will be organically fused with various environmental product portfolios such as low carbon dioxide reduction technology and carbon dioxide capture and conversion (CCUS) technology to create synergy.
